Tara Rodrigues is an Interior Designer and founder of Tara Rodrigues Interiors. In 2023 she won The Big Interiors Battle on Channel 4. I worked with Tara to develop a social media strategy for her growing Instagram following. It would harness this growth to better promote her interior design business, and lay a good foundation for future content and social media management.



To do this I undertook a social media audit of her Instagram account to establish and benchmark her current audience, engagement and reach, and to discern which types of content were most effective. Using this, coupled with further research I identified her target audience which included developing her market segmentation and from that her audience persona. Having this persona in mind when planning and posting content would bring clarity, accuracy and greater confidence to the whole process.
The audience persona took into account her increased exposure on The Big Interiors Battle and captured her core Instagram follower. It was developed from carefully understanding her audience’s demographics and psychographics. It meant that Tara could engage them with resonant content to open up new client opportunities and fully harness Instagram’s potential to grow her business.
We set an initial goal to double her follower numbers within 3 months, which we exceeded in a matter of weeks. Her social media presence continues to go from strength to strength.

Alexandra delivered such a clear social media marketing strategy and helped me identify my audience. Having a data driven analysis helped me evaluate what’s working and what’s not, which has already eliminated some wasted activity allowing me to redirect my time more effectively to engage my existing audience and essentially grow a wider platform.
